hey guys,
sorry this is so late.. but this is the 2010 release.. in the zip is both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.. follow the same instructions as the normal install.. this is not an install file! so install the other version, and just drop this into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Tools3d\DiamantUV\plug-ins directory.. then restart Maya and you should see the version in the plugin manager.. i was hoping to get the newer release to you guys but its turning out to be a slower process than intended. Too many side things! It is turning out much better though.. faster and more stable.. for now.. enjoy on 2010.. i haven't really tested this.. so please post any problems!

I get this error when turning Diamant UV on in the plug-in manager.

// Error: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

Are you using the correct version? As in, are you trying to load the x64 version in Maya 32 or the other way around??

I'm using maya 2010 32bit. I'm trying to load the 32bit plugin. When I try and load the 64bit it says // Error: (Diamant_uv_2010x64).
So I know the error is with the 32bit. The problem wouldn't be that I'm using the 1.2 Beta would it? Like should I be using the 1.11 version and getting 2010 to work?

Thanks for the plug in either way. Very useful tools.

Nah you should be using the newest beta. That does sound odd. Only problem is that I'm on vacation now and don't have anything with me to check on this haha.. Sorry. I'll look into this as soon as I get back. It won't be for a couple weeks though. Have you ever used an older copy and got it to work? By older I mean earlier version of Maya.

Hey there,

This tool looks great. The videos are very impressive. Looking forward to trying this thing out but I'm getting the same plug-in problems as Andre:

// Error: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

I installed it for maya 2009 and got it working. Still no luck with 2010 though.

ok guys.. i'm not really sure why you are getting these errors.. everything seems alright on my end.. from what I have been reading it could be a bunch of odd things.. the first thing i would do is try to install the VC++ redistributable from microsoft.. 2005 edition..

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=EB4EBE2D-33C0-4A47-9DD4-B9A6D7BD44DA&displaylang=en

that is the x64 link..

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en

this one is the x86.. try installing this and see if it works.. it could be something with your computer from what i'm reading.. try also getting all the windows updates as well.. please post back if any of these work or dont work.. I think it might be something with what Autodesk did on 2010.. especially since it works on older versions.... doesn't make too much sense to me..

by the way, if this doesn't work, try installing the latest 2008 redistributions, as well as the .net framework.. one post on Autodesk's site says that the person uninstalled maya, and reinstalled it, and saw that maya installed the .net, etc.. and then everything worked.. let me know!
